Seollal 2017: Children’s Grand Park

Even if I wanted to visit every nook in this country of KPop and kimchi, my work as a researcher comes in the way. So, for rare occasions like, Seollal, I always try my best to go to as many places as I can. Seollal is the Korean term for New Year. And this year, it was celebrated last January 27-30.

As the first part of my three-part adventure across Seoul, I will be showing you one of the best parks that I ever went to, and it’s for free.

Then, let my adventure begin.

The first thing that you will see when you get in is this adorable statue of Little Prince.

And this wishing tree.

And since I visited on a winter season, a human-sized snow globe was there.
Look at those three snowmen! Adorbs!

The park is great for walking and sight-seeing, and of course, spending time with your family or loved ones.

Or playing Pokemon Go! There are tons of Poke Stops and Pokemons inside the park, just like this statue where these young group of friends enjoyed catching pokemons.

They also have a green house where you can enjoy different weather and plants from all over the world.
BTW, this is my favorite place inside the park because it reminded me of home.
