It was a spring full of colors as we, along with a few friends and Carlo, shared a Sunday together exploring International Horticulture Goyang Korea 2017, last May 7. Here’s a sneak peek of our day.
Arriving at Jeongbalsan Station with Carlo (the designated photographer) and my friend from Davao who’s also a student here in Korea, Milki.
While waiting for my roommates Alvin and Phil.
While waiting for our other friends to arrive, we enjoyed our own little pictorial session and free face painting if you buy cute paper hats just outside the park.
Entering in Gate 2, we first went through the Flower Brand Hall.
A whole ton more of displays were there, so sad that we need to go out to have time to explore the area.
Next stop: STROLLING!
Peter Pan-themed section
Next stop: THE WORLD FLOWER PAVILION and the FLOWER ART HALL
Different countries from all over the world were given the chance to showcase their own collection of home-grown flowers.
For the love of roses…
Miniature houses, trees and cars…
Next stop: Water biking with my love.
More meandering around the lake…
The Goyang Flower Peace Garden
The decorations start to light up as the day’s nearing to its end.
The Familiar Garden
We ended our day by paying a visit to S-oil Character Land.
The best part of it all (for me) are the Mimings!
These Mimings (cats) can be found everywhere in the area.
It is my honor to be one of the chosen Global Ambassadors for IHK 2017.
This experience has given me the opportunity to explore the culture of South Korea through the beauty of flowers with the company of my beloved friends.
Pictures, indeed, cannot capture the beauty that we witnessed.
If you want to visit IHK 2017 to have a firsthand experience, you may still do so.
The event is until May 14, 2017.
